Plus, many people are able to deduct the interest paid on their tax return, making the real interest rate paid up to a third lower! (Consult your tax advisor for details regarding your specific situation.) If you already have a Home Equity Loan or Line of Credit, now many be the perfect time to refinance to get a lower monthly payment or a better interest rate.
  
  Home Equity Loans offer the security of a fixed rates and payments that don't vary over time. These loans are best suited for non-recurring expenses like home improvements or major purchases.
  
  Home Equity Lines of Credit provide the ability to borrow and pay back on an ongoing basis without the hassle of completing applications over and over again. You only pay interest on the amount of money you have borrowed for the time you borrow it. Your Line is perfect for recurring expenses like school tuitions or situations where you expect to be able to pay off your borrowings and like the idea of having an emergency source of cash.
  
  

  Accessing your Home Equity Line of Credit is as simple as writing a check from your account, or enjoy the full benefits when linked with a DNB First Checking account transferring funds through Online Banking or by using a check card.

  DNB First Offers 2 Home Equity Lines of Credit:
  
  Easy Line of Credit is a monthly principal plus interest payment line amortized over a 15 year period, with an initial draw period of 5 years and continuing conditional on periodic reviews. The current interest rate is Wall Street Journal Prime + 1.00% APR with a floor of 4.50% with automatic monthly payment deduction from a DNB First deposit account.
  
  The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is tied to the Wall Street Journal Prime rate and may change as often as daily. The maximum APR that may be charged is 18.00%. Other factors, including credit history may affect the assigned rate. There is no application fee. A minimum advance requirement of $100.00 applies. A minimum principal payment of .556% of the outstanding principal balance, or $100.00, whichever is greater, shall be due monthly in addition to billed interest. Consult your tax advisor for tax deductibility.
  Interest Only is a monthly interest-only payment line with a maturity of 5 years and review at maturity. The current interest rate is Wall Street Journal Prime + 1.00% APR with a floor of 5.00% with automatic monthly payment deduction from a DNB First deposit account.
